I just finished installing and testing a Brook Nincade adapter on a SNES Classic with a Wii-mote and it works as expected out of the box. https://imghost.io/image/GIbeC
The NINCADE lets you use a Switch controller/PS4/8Bitdo(iCade mode)/iCade/Wii remote/Wii U Pro Wireless Gamepads and more to play wirelessly on your NES Classic Edition, Nintendo Classic Mini Family Computer as well as the SNES Classic Edition and Super Famicon.
2 Units (Player 1 & 2) + Free Installation is $120
I was initially worried when images began leaking online of the SNES Classic’s mainboard because the UART connection found in the NES Classic design was missing in the images. Still I remained hopeful that it was just moved to the backside, and that was indeed the case. I’ve just completed my UART mod on my SNES console for some kernel debugging.
I’ll be spending a lot of time on this, and that’s just what I’ve been doing since I picked the unit up in store today.
I plan on offering modding services for the SNES Classic Edition similar to the NES Classic Services I offer. Stay tuned for more information after the release of the system (September 29th, 2017).
