C64.app v1.2 Still vulnerable to custom games exploit!

LET THE FUN CONTINUE!

I just updated to 1.2 and used the gamepack to install some custom games, and it works just like in 1.1.11.
The only noticeable change to me was the Joystick is now on the Left Side! Yay!

More updates on this version soon!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

[UPDATE:]
I also just noticed some changes in the settings.
Screenshots etc to follow…

That’s promising… the holy grail, though, is the ability to install custom games easily without overwriting existing ones (though I’ll take the ability to remove the existing ones too, if it’s easy — the original 5 are of no interest to me to at all!)

I’m being rude just asking for what I want… sorry. There’s little I can do to help, unfortunately.

Is there any way to activate the keyboard in 1.2.24?

I can add the games, but i can´t control most of em, because the fire button is not enough.

    Thanks for your reply!

Good news! Upgrading just now, planning to release a demo pack (best demos for C64) based on your game pack installer, are you happy to let me do it? Merry Christmas!

Nothing is overwritten. The original files remain in the folder, and uninstalling the cydia package will allow you to restore the originals for play. Also part of the Security will NOT allow you to remove or rename the original files. But they really use up no space, so it shouldn’t be a worry.

You can also update from a modified 1.1.11 to 1.2.24 safely. But it will create a new directory, so it’s best to remove the older version and then re-install/update.

I already have a GameLoader created to easily load your own games and swap between games, but it’s not yet packaged for release. Also I haven’t had a chance to explore the new version to see if there is anyway I could emulate the C64 Shop.

    Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
